Should I trust Best Buy's open box geek squad certified laptops?

I was looking for a gaming laptop recently and I came across the Razer's line of laptops. I pike the premium built quality that they offer. I wanted to get the Razer Blade 15 base model, with the rtx 2060, but its price is too high for my budget. Then, when searching the same model on Best Buy, I notices that there was an option to buy an open box geek squad certified Razer Blade 15, with the same specs. So the original price for the model I want is 1800 dollars, and with Best Buy's offer, its price drops to just a litle bit under 1600 dollars. Should I trust this option or should I buy it brand new

And if you recommend me to buy it brand new, do you guys think that there will be any black friday offers on the Razer's laptops? I want to hear your opinions. Thanks in advanced.

Re: Should I trust Best Buy's open box geek squad certified laptops?

Hey there, yogensenu.

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Best Buy Forums. Buying Open-Box items are similar to buying brand new, except they've been opened before, and it depends on the condition of the item. Open-Box products still qualify for the Returns & Exchange Promise, which is typically 15 days. If there is one at a store near you, you can go in and look at the computer and make sure it's what you are looking for and to make sure it has all of the accessories. The laptop also qualifies for the manufacturer's warranty, and you can purchase the Geek Squad Protection plan on the laptop if you would like to as well. If you have any further questions, please let us know.
