I recently returned a new SurfacePro 7. Long story but after trying to make my old Chrome life blend with my new Windows life, I gave up in frustration. I developed perpetual sign in problems which required continuous password and ID checks every time I logged into either the Chromebook or the Surface Pro and ultimately the SP7 just froze solid. I took it back but was hooked on Win 10 so I bought a Lenovo refurbished think pad from Walmart to continue to learn about Windows which I had never used before. Now I am having the same problems. I made an admin and guest account but now the TP is giving me data access error and threatening me with the security hardware! What am I doing wrong and how can I fix this. A person should be able to use all apps like Facebook, Skype, and several other apps on both laptops, right? HELP!

sounds like a complicated or simple answer.
I use all those apps simultaneously on 2 different windows computers, and iPhone and an iPad

Hey there, DeeDeeAnnWalker,
Thanks for taking the time to share this with us on our Forums! It does sound strange that you are having these type of issues, as we wouldn't expect there to be compatibility issues with the type of work you are doing!
We may advise scheduling an appointment to meet with a trained Geek Squad Agent at your local Best Buy store. This would allow us to more thoroughly look through this issue in-person and see what may be happening.
In regards to your initial question, all returned computers do go through a process via our Geek Squad where they are cleaned, tested, and wiped prior to being sold as an Open-Box computer.
