We just bought a new pc - tower only. It has Windows 10 on it. My old pc has Windows 7. I also bought an Insignia Universal File Transfer Cable to do this. My question is, do I need to have a monitor attached to both pc towers, or just the new one?
If you set it up properly you should be able to see the structure of your old computer from your new one.
Personally I do all my transfers via USB jump drive.
