Purchasing a Laptop

Hey guys, hopefully I’m not in the wrong section for this post. I’m looking to buy a laptop and bestbuy is usually where I go for all my tech related things now. The problem is.. I have never had luck buying a windows PC at bestbuy. Bought a MacBook Pro touchbar and partitioned and installed windows on to it.. sold it and looking to try a windows laptop again. I’ve bought from Best Buy and returned to Best Buy in the past 3 HP Spectres 13.3 inch, a HP Envy 15.6, and a Dell Inspiron13.3. All of which were bought a separate times between October 2016 and November 2018. All of which were returned for either over heating or (most important factor) screen flickering. Unbelievable, in fixable, unavoidable screen flickering... I’ve only bought laptops at Best Buy. Should I be buying somewhere else instead...? Cause it’s getting ridiculous now.

I’m looking to buy a 2in1 laptop that has at least 256SSD, i7 7th or 8th gen, and prefer Dell and HP, but also open to suggestions and advice. I’d like a laptop that’s fan isn’t trying to take off to the moon after 30 minutes of simple use, a screen that doesn’t flicker, and a battery that lasts more than 4 hours before rushing to be plugged in.

Any and all advice is highly welcomed.

Hello, iNathanDrake,

It seems like the technology spirits have not been in your favor. Don't worry, it happens to all of us and it totally isn't your fault. Nonetheless, going by the specifications you're looking into, our options aren't all that numerous. I narrowed down these options using the processor, SSD, and 2-in-1 requests and have come up with the following. Let me know what you think:
