Problems with starting up

I have a TOSHIBA A105 laptop. I've had it for just over 2 years and never had any problems with it until a day or so ago. I tried turning on my laptop and it will go through th Toshiba start up screen and make it to the windows is starting p screen, but then stops running all processes before it gets to the screen where i log in. I can move the mouse around, but it won't go any further in the start up process. Any ideas on what the problem could be or possible solutions?

Has anything changed on your computer recently? You should attempt to boot into safe mode and perform a system restore and see if this helps.
