Ever since i upgraded to an SSD I tend to only keep important OS operations on the main drive and keep games like Steam titles and my web browsers / word processors on an external drive. The best part about Portable Apps is that if I have to format my computer I simply plug the drive back in and launch the platform and my browsers and apps are there.
I wish I found out about this sooner as I like portability of this before and wish I used it sooner. It makes computer maintinence so easy and not having to download stuff again makes it key.
