On warranties for Dell Laptops bought from Best Buy

are warranties of Dell products bought from best buy available worldwide? Im having a problem with my wireless connection lately and i was able to chat with support.dell.com representative. but when he knew that i bought it from best buy, he referred me to geek squad. but all i can get from geeksquad are questions on location so they can get pricing details. So even technical support is charged by geeksquad.???  i was thinking diagnosis and tech support are supposed toi be part of the warranty.

 

my other problem is im outside US right now so i don't know where to go if my laptop is in trouble. please help me.

Due to the agreement with Best Buy and Dell, any warranties and service agreements for your laptop or desktop is supposed to be purchased at the time of the unit purchase otherwise standard warranty applies.

if you did not purchase the best buy geek squad black tie protection/performance service plan, the manufacture of the warranty only covers in the country. if you go out of the country u will be out of luck.

 

Best Buy's Geek Squad Black Tie Protection IS International covered. Manuafacture is not. so i guess now you have to send the laptop back. hopefully it's still within one year because manufacture warranty only last 1 year. after 1 year it'll cost you more than 200 on each repair or more.  i guess next time you should have purchase on ur next purchase.
