I just bought a Lenovo gaming laptop and I barely did anything with it, but it freezes and crashes anyway. Why would it do this when I swear I didn't have it booted up for more than like ten minutes?

I didn't drop it by mistake or anything either. I just opened it up, did setup, and started choosing things like colors, themes, icon pictures, etc. I was downloading a free theme when it froze and crashed. This thing has high processing power and RAM, 16 gigs worth. I had four windows open, just Microsoft Edge, the Microsoft Store where I was downloading the theme, and two settings windows.

That is certainly odd to hear. A laptop that is brand new should not be having issues of this nature, especially being at a gaming level. Have you attempted to check for any Windows updates that may be available? Some times some driver or software issues may be present that may be causing these issues. However, to be honest, if you're still within the 15 day return policy, then I would suggest visiting your local store and exchanging it for a new unit and having it tested in-store prior to leaving.
