I got a good deal from Dell and was about to buy an Alienware Aurora with 8700k and 1080Ti, but just learned that the motherboard accepts 1.2V rams only.
I've been using laptops for a long time, so I've been away from the desktop computers. Should that be a deal breaker? I was told that the better rams use 1.35V, so is 1.2V "future-proof" enough? Does it make a lot of difference, or should I look elsewhere?
