Need advice

I’m on a limited income budget and am looking for a good laptop that is inexpensive and can handle some graphics, but not heavy graphics work. I write and illustrate children’s books. I usually draw in ink then scan in at 300 dpi. I create my books in PowerPoint and insert the images. I don’t do heavy graphic imaging other than adjusting the contrast usually, but I am a heavy PowerPoint user. What type of laptop would yo recommend for someone who has an HP Officejet 6700 ( I can’t afford a new printer too).

Re: Need advice

HI there, Grinning_gal,

That sounds like some awesome work you are doing! We're glad to be a part of the process while you purchase a new laptop. You've given some great information to start, but we'll need a bit more to make a proper reccomendation. Please see the bullet points below!

  1. I strongly advise any person to read our Laptop Buying Guide prior to making a choice. It's packed with a ton of need-to-know information!
  2. Did you have a screen size (i.e. 13.3, 15.6, 17, etc) in mind?  This narrows down a lot of our choices.
  3. Was there any brand you preferred over another? For example, if you love Dell, we'll do our best to show you a Dell laptop.
  4. What operating system were you looking for? The most common are Windows, macOS, and ChromeOS.

We look forward to hearing back!
