Hey Geah,
Because this is a replacement for a laptop, you're probably going to want to look for a 2.5" Serial ATA (SATA) hard drive. Larger drives that are intended for desktops (3.5" drives) won't necessarily fit into your computer, and it's not very likely that either a Parallel ATA (PATA) or SCSI drive were originally installed into the unit.
The only real question that remains then is what size hard drive should you purchase. If you use your laptop primarily for storing photos and videos, a larger hard drive capacity is always recommended. Remember though that if you're still not quite sure what to look for - or would just like a few recommendations - you can always speak with a technician at your local Best Buy® store for more information.

Hey again Geah,
IDE and PATA are terms that are often used interchangeably - I'm sorry if I forgot to mention that in my earlier post. If the original drive is an IDE drive, then you'll need to look for another IDE (PATA) drive as well. Unfortunately, because IDE drives started to be phased out in favor of SATA drives as early as 2003, you may not be able to find many available options through your local store. Best Buy® does however still carry a few of these hard drives, most of which (to my knowledge) are made by Western Digital.
If you'd like more information, I would strongly suggest searching for "IDE hard drives" on www.Bestbuy.com and using the "Compare" feature on the result page.
