Hey kinsaan –
Welcome to the forums and thanks for posting! It’s been quite a while since I played any of those classics, and I’m reveling in some great memories right now. That said, I’ll be happy to advise you on how to get these running on a newer operating system.
The first thing I’d recommend is running these in Windows XP Compatibility mode. You can do this by right-clicking on their desktop shortcuts > Properties > Compatibility Tab > Select “Run this program in compatibility mode for:” (Windows XP Service Pack 3 should be the default) > select Run this program as an administrator. Finally, select Apply and OK, and try running the game from that shortcut.
Let us know how it goes!

Hi kinsaan –
No worries, I’m happy to clarify this for you! Windows XP Compatibility Mode is a feature built into Windows 7, which allows older programs and games to be run on your computer. Since you have Windows 7, you should be able to turn this feature on and get these older games running. To enable the compatibility mode, follow the steps I included in my first post.

I have tried that but still when i run that game. It open for a moment (back screen) like it's going to run but again minimize itself.....
What could be the cause............
And it happening with all other games. Even a stronghold crusador is not working which does not require high specs.

Hi kinsaan –
That’s too bad. If it’s doing this with all games I recommend running Windows Update to make sure your computer is fully up to date, update your graphics driver if you have a dedicated graphics card from Nvidia or AMD, and doing a full restart of your computer. If you’re still running into issues after that I recommend making an appointment with your local Geek Squad so we can take a look in person, or chatting with one of our Agents for further assistance.
Regards,

Hi kinsaan –
Yes, you’ll need to update your AMD drivers independently of Windows Update. You can get drivers for your graphics card from this AMD page.
