Hello and thank you for reading this!
I am in need of a desktop for my mother in law and she is very technologically limited. She plays farmville and looks at photos, emails, etc. Like surfing for recioes and looking at her facebook account. She really needs a larger screen for ease of use but the computer itself needs to be as simple as possible and up to dat eso we can get her used to the new program and not have to change it anytime soon.
Would you mind helping me choose a very simple, up to date computer and a nice large monitor? Thank you!

The HP 19.45" All in One seems to be a good choice for the very basics that you need in order to get what you need done. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-19-45-all-in-one-intel-celeron-4gb-memory-500gb-hard-drive-blizzard-w...
And to go with it, HP Envy 4520 Wireless Printer http://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-envy-4520-wireless-all-in-one-printer-black/4363404.p?id=121973662316...

I would look into all-in-one computers like these : http://www.bestbuy.com/site/all-desktops/all-in-one-computers/abcat0501005.c?id=abcat0501005
This would combine the "tower" and the monitor into 1 device and generally come with a wireless keyboard/mouse. As with most computer related purchases, the more you spend, the better features you get (including a larger screen size).
As far as the printer goes, you can either purchase literally any of the HP Envy/Officejet printers in the $99-$129 range and get average printing performance. Something like this : http://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-officejet-pro-8610-e-all-in-one-wireless-all-in-one-printer-black/467... They downside being horrible ink efficiency and fairly common problems with ink drying out with minimal use. When you're looking at ~$70 to get all new ink every few months, that can really add up.
Black and white laser printers (like this : http://www.bestbuy.com/site/brother-hl-l2360dw-wireless-mono-laser-printer-black/6130209.p?id=121919... ) are a lot more efficient, but will generally not come with a scanner and obviously do not print in color. This would be a very good printer for printing emails/directions/etc. You can purchase a color laser printer, but this will be a lot more expensive.

In realty an expensive computer is operated in the same manner as an expensive one.
The HP that hockeycanuckjc recommended is one that I had thought on my self when seeing the message.
Or of you want a larger monitor than the one he linked to you could consider buying separate components.
This one is similar performance wise HP Slimline
And you can get a good 23" monitor for under $200
