Locked out of insignia tablet

I have a Windows 10 ns-p11w1700 that i cant unlock..... When i turn it on it goes straight to a black screen that says enter password with a blue box. None of the passwords i enter work..... When i try to boot into "recovery" by pressing the volume + button and the power button it shows a message that says Dnx fastboot request reciever... Please release the button combo.... And it just stays on that screen. Im not worried about losing any of the data i was trying to factory reset it anyway....

Ive messaged insignia support and i get no reply. Is there a master password? Or another way to get in?

Re: Locked out of insignia tablet

if there is a master password tech support would not be able to divulge it as it would literally be a closely guarded secret.

In order to get it unlocked by a professional you would need to provide proof of purchase.

Re: Locked out of insignia tablet

Id bought it second-hand..... So i guess that means that a professional is out of the question..... I do know quite a bit about computers actually.... At least on the software side of things.... However i am kinda leary of taking it apart.... And i read somewhere that there actually is
No CMOS battery or way to jump.... Not that id know how to jump the motherboard or even have the equipment to do so .... Is there no way possible at all for me to get into the device without the possibility of frying the hardware?

Tried using the usb to plug into the desktop and even though i have all the proper drivers its still not recognizing.

Surely this isnt just an overpriced paperweight....

Re: Locked out of insignia tablet

Your best bet is to ask the person you purchased it from what the password is.

If there existed a master password it would be a significant securty breach to let anyone know what it is.  Have you tried a hard reset?

-Ensure the tablet is connected to the charger and has at least 45% battery left. If the battery dies during this process the device could be damaged.

-Power off the tablet fully.
-Press and HOLD the Volume + button.
-While still holding the Volume + button, press the Power button until the screen illuminates and shows Insignia.  Then release the power button only.
-Continue holding Volume+ until one of two screens appear.
        A) -A screen appears with only an Android mascot in the background. If this happens simply let go of volume + and press it one time.  You should then see the screen shown in item 'B'

        B) - A list of options in the top left of the tablet screen.

-Use Volume - to select "wipe data / Factory reset" and press the power button to select it.

-Use Volume - to select "Yes -- delete all user data" and press the power button to select it.

-Following the reset, the device should boot up and go through the initial setup process again as when it just came out of the box.
