Re: Laptop freezing on power up

Hey there, Tavahn5,

Welcome to our community.  I think just about everyone has had a slow, glitchy computer at least once in their life, and I am all too familiar with the frustration that generally comes along with such issues.  It can sometimes be difficult to pinpoint exactly what's causing your computer to lag and freeze up, but our Geek Squad Agents are standing by and ready to help.

I'd recommend scheduling an appointment online at your local Best Buy store or over the phone with 1-800-Geek-Squad (800-433-5778) so our Agents can take a closer look at your laptop in-person.  Before you head into the store, you may want to back up your files and ensure your operating system is completely up to date.

I hope this helps, but if you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out anytime.  I'd be delighted to assist however I can.

Best wishes,

How old is your laptop?

Re: Laptop freezing on power up

I would try booting it in safe mode and then seeing if you can go to a previous restore point. Could be an easy fix if this is the case.
