It can sometimes be difficult to pinpoint exactly what's causing your computer to lag and freeze up, but our Geek Squad Agents are standing by and ready to help.

How old is your laptop?

I would try booting it in safe mode and then seeing if you can go to a previous restore point. Could be an easy fix if this is the case.
