You may want to bring it in directly to the geek squad for a consult.
However, chances are the upgrade would cost you more than you paid for the computer.
Your computer already comes with a pretty good size hard drive. Putting in an SSD would result in faster start up times, but with less storage.
Chances are you may not be able to upgrade this HDD to an SDD.

This laptop is very much closed access and should only be upgraded under the guidance of a professional. My Acer Aspire R is the same way, closed access, no drive doors serviceable to the user, etc.
I remember the first batch of Acer Netbooks were like that with no access to the memory or HDD unless you knew how to take it apart.

My current computer has a small SSD at 120 GB. I only have the OS and MS Office installed on it. And then all my documents and photos. I will never go without an SSD as the boot drive until such a time as something that is faster and affordable is available.
I can go from hitting the power button to fully boote in 10 seconds and that included entering the password
