everything else is covered but the memory.

if ur memory goes bad, it won't be covered. if you have geeksquad install the memory for you, the memory will be covered.

Hi bgawk!

Thanks for your question. I just wanted to clarify: your upgraded RAM will not be covered unless it was purchased on the same receipt as the computer and is installed by a Geek Squad® Agent at the time of purchase. Best Buy® (or the manufacturer) may reserve the right to decline a repair if the original RAM is not in the unit at the time of repair, especially if the upgraded RAM is self-installed. Self-installation of parts can indeed invalidate your Geek Squad® Black Tie Protection (GSBTP) or older Performance Service Plan (PSP). Does this mean you shouldn’t upgrade your own computer if you know how? Not necessarily, but damaging the unit while attempting to install parts would not be covered by your PSP or GSBTP. If you are unsure, ask your local Geek Squad® Agent!
