This monrning within 30 minutes of me checking up on the Skylake processors, the Intel i7 6700K and Intel i5 6600K bothwent from Coming Soon to saying Sold Oit Online. Which I think is weird.
But some of ther lower end Sktlake processors are available to buy.

For the past few weeks the Skylake Processors you have listed on Bestbuy.com have been saying "Coming Soon" but no date. Skylake processors have been out for a few months now. When is Best Buy going to put them up for sale?
I'm looking to build my new PC and would love to get the Intel - Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Processor you have listed for $249.99: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/intel-core-i5-6600k-3-5ghz-processor-silver/4712009.p?id=1219807034917&s...
So when can we expect this Skylake processor and other Skylake Processors to go on sale on Bestbuy.com ?
Is it going to be a few days, weeks, or months? If it's going to be just a few weeks (less than a month) I can probably wait. But if it's going to br longer then I will probably have to look else where.
A little over 30 minutes after I post about this in another section all but 3 of the the Skylake Processors have switched from "Coming Soon" to now saying "Sold Out Online".
I don't think they all would have come online and sold out like that in 30 minutes. Can someone please tell me what's going on here?
An answer from a Best Buy Specialist on this would be much appeciated.

Perhaps you coud consider the the i7-4790
However if you already have your board it would not work. LGA1150 socket and it has 8mb cache instead of 6mb

Me personally (I don't know about the original poster) I'm doing a Skylake build. It's my first personal computer build in over 15 years. I've been using a MacBook Pro for the past 7-8 years as my only computer and now I want to build a new PC. Therefore I'm going with the newest Intel processor. It's for gaming, photo editing, and other stuff but mostly for Gaming that's why I'm going with the i5 instead of i7.

What is your reasoning on the i5 being better for gaming over th i7?
The processor you want is more than sufficient for good quality gaming.

The only thing the i7 has over the i5 is HT (Hyperthreading) and pretty much the majority of all games nowadays do not use it (not programed into the games). The i7 also has minor light advantages but they are minimal to be worth extra cost for me. So the price jump of going from an i5 to i7 for me will not be worth it.

It is only $50 and they are in stock.
