My mother just passed and left an insignia tablet locked with a pin number...
How do I override it? ( Lots of family pictures. )

Thank you for joining our community. I'm very sorry for your loss.I'm sure those pictures are very important to you.

 

There is no way to get that PIN removed without completely resetting that tablet, which I'm sure you don't want to do. You can give Insignia Support a call at (877) 467-4289 to double check on that, but I'm not hopeful there is a workaround.

 

Instead you may need to go with data recovery to retrieve the pictures. You can set up a reservation to discuss that with a Geek Squad Agent here.

The method to reset that will depend on the version of Android the tablet is running. We'd want to get hands on with it to see if we can determine the best way to go about it.

 

If you set up that reservation to visit Geek Squad, we can give you a free consultation to check it out. Otherwise, you can call that Insignia support number to see if we can find a solution to reset it for you that way.
