A new Insignia microphone NS-PAUBMD8 is not recognized by Windows 10. Other microphones work fine. Blue light illuminates when plugged in, but the system cannot find the device. Tried on two separate PCs, without any luck.
Any ideas on the nature of the problem? Many thanks in advance

It sounds like you've been thorough in your troubleshooting. At this point, I'd recommend returning the microphone to your local Best Buy store for an exchange. I apologize for the inconvenience I know this represents.

Thank you very much for your guidance. Unfortunately, this was purchased during a visit to the US, and I am based overseas so it is difficult for me to return this dysfunctional item...

Thank you for your reply. At this time, Best Buy is not able to accept international returns in accordance with our Return & Exchange Promise. With that said, if you have a friend or family member who lives in the United States, you may ship it to them so they can return it to a local Best Buy store.
I realize this may not be the most convenient option for you and apologize for any additional frustration this creates. Thank you for bringing your circumstances to our attention.
