I am a computer tech, however, my wife cam up witth this one !

After I reset device several times, and she rebooted to clear freeze....

She notice after a couple of years of use now with this increased freezing that the unit while inside the cover we ordered was VERY hot...

Since being out of the cover, for 5 hours of operation ( 3 in one session, 2 hrs in another, and she is using it now in the 3rd session (no freeze yet)   

Being a tech who has seen many laptop and desktop motherboard issues over the years, makes sense, unit hot enough to cause temp circuit failure on MB but not hot enough to shut unit down.

I have had MB's lockup, then i would let cool down or flex them and they would unfreeze.

So...  she probably could use a new unit, but for now, if we can get more life out of this one by simply running it outside of its case SO BE IT

saving $$$

Hope this works for others maybe having this issue
