Hi,
I had signed up for GoldPuma {removed per forum guidelines} to host my videos. Unortunately they suspended my shared hosting account and told me I had to purchase a dedicated server or VPS to host my website. Since their servers were very expensive in compared to their shared hosting packages, now I prefer to buy a laptop from bestbuy , instead, to use as a server.
What features are important for a laptop to host a website?
Thank you,

I laptop just isn't going to have the build for that.
Your going to be expected to keep it running 24/7 and a laptop will quickly run into overheating issues.

I agree with the similar posters above. A desktop would be much better suited to do this.
Keep in mind that some ISPs restrict the ability to run servers if you are subscribed to a non-Business class package. That being said, your ISP reserves the right to terminate service if they deem you to be running a server on their network without the proper package to support it.

Keep in mind, that while any prebuilt desktop would be suitable for server use, you are better off building your own system and running a Linux variant as a server host to keep costs down and reliability high.

I know some people that have worked with Blue Hill in the past and the nighmares still haunt them. Tremendous lack of knowledge.

Well this thread is four years old.
However, in these days I think one would be better off with Amazon or Google for Cloud services. Very robust.
