Hello,
What if you want to record the audio and video of the lecture at the same time?
What do you guys recommend to do this?
What laptop? What devices?

For starters I don't think a laptop would suit you unless it has front and rear cameras. A tablet with a reliable and high quality stand can help in this manner.

I don't know what your professors policy on wearing sunglasses but they actually have glasses that function as a 1080p camcorder. Of course you may feel a little silly in class rather than stylish or accomplishing the purpose you may need. More suitable for the outdoors or when you are in your car and someone drives not too careful on the road.

If you already have a Cellphone and a reliable battery, consider getting a stand that you can place on the desk and then record the video. You would need at least a 64gb memory card if you plan on taking high quality audio and video. And also have an outlet nearby too.

All things set aside there are mini camcorders and tripods you can buy and take the memory card from the camcorder and download the video to the computer.

If the presenter is cool with it, you can pick up a cheap wireless lavalier mic that you can record to your phone with. The presenter clips the mic on and puts the battery pack in their pocket, you plug the receiver into your phone's headphone jack and change the audio source to the wireless mic.

If they don't want to wear the mic, you'd want a camera with a boom/shotgun mic on it. This will give you pretty good sound quality without a ton of background noise.

If this is just for your reference and the quality doesn't matter, just record it with a cellhpone or a decent Logitech usb webcam.

I would simply go with a camcorder
