I am repairing a old PC. Need help.

The PC is pretty old maybe 12 years old it turns on but when I plugged it into the monitor, the monitor went into "Digital Power Saving Mode." I got a new GPU and it fits perfectly, but unfortunately the same problem is happening. Could someone guide me on how to fix this?

The monitor worked with this computer a long time ago. I remember playing the original Star Wars Battlefront on it. It works with other computers too. This means that there is a problem with the PC.

Your power supply could be underpowering the video card or your motherboard has an integrated solution where its still enabled in the bios. You should find a setting in the BIOS, or temporarily hook into the built in video card disable it in the device manager and then reconnet the external card and see if it works,

Try replacing the battery on the mother board
