I bought the HP - 14" Laptop - Intel Core i3 - 8GB Memory - 1TB Hard Drive - HP Finish In Pale Gold And Ash Silver in December of 2018. It was fine for the first month. Now it's constantly freezing. It cannot stream a video in one tab and let me do a search in another tab without freezing. We've cleaned of the bloatware and done multiple virus scans to no avail. Made sure everything is up to date as well. I bought this for my teen who's heading off to college because it was supposed to be a good laptop and it's crap.
Looking for suggestions.

A new laptop should definitely not be acting that way. It sounds to me like there may be an issue that is software related. This can include a driver, a plug-in, or other software that was recently installed. That said, do you recall if you opted into the Geek Squad protection when you initially purchased the laptop? Even if you didn't, I totally welcome you to give our Geek Squad agents a visit and have them look over what the laptop. The initial consultation is free and they may be able to pinpoint where the issues are and how they can be solved.

Did your update check include BIOS updates? But if the device is freezing this may not be a good idea.
