HELP! NO START BUTTON on Windows 10

Just bought a new HP Pavilion with Windows 10 but there is NO start button. The voice assistant Cortana is where the start button should be. I want to get rid of Cortana and replace with the start button. I went into task manager and reset Windows explorer but that did not help. Any ideas???

What happens if you press the Windows button on your keyboard? Is this a laptop or desktop?

That's what I was thinking as well... but I though Pavillion was the desktop line and shouldn't have that issue. Unless they are just using it to say "HP computer"..

Re: HELP! NO START BUTTON on Windows 10

I just did some research and there are some awesome apps out there that replace the Windows start menu. Unfortunately I can't link to these though as it's against the forums terms of use.

But might be able to get you back on the right path if your'e in a hurry to help.

I believe that HP offers complimentary support for a limited time when you register your PC with HP Support for warranty purposes so take advantage of that if you're under warranty.
