Gateway T-6330u, wireless internet, and restore problems.

I got a Gateway T-6330u. I had to return the first one because it kept freezing up. A few days ago, I had trouble with the sound after I tried to install media player. I got the sound back on, but I accidently cut the wireless button off ,and lost internet. Once I figured out what I did, I cut it back on. However, I still cannot get internet. Geek Squad did a diagnostic, and concluded that Norton wasn't configured correctly. They reconfigured the computer some, and that was supposed to have fixed it, only it didn't. Their next idea was for me to restore the computer from a backup. That would actually be the second time I had to restore this computer from a backup in a month. Anyway, I used the three disks, but it never lets me finish the third one. So now, the computer is installed incorrectly and I still can't get wireless internet.

I'm very frustrated. What can I do? I have the accidental insurance and I'm sure a manufacturers warranty. I'm at the point that I don't even want this computer. I want a different one. Too many problems with this model.

I also need to know something. What order was I supposed to use the restore disks? Is it the 1 &2 DVD or the CD of just one to go first? Which order was I supposed to go in?

Any suggestions would be helpful. I've fooled with this computer for hours now.

If the third disk is not working , then chances are the disc has a burning defect. If you still have the recovery partition on your hard drive, immediately press ALT and F10  when you turn it on, and it should boot to the recovery partition where you can restore the unit to the factory default using the built in recovery.

Okay, as much as I don't want to fool around with the computer again tonight, I'll try it. Thanks.

If all else fails and your computer is under the warranty, Gateway will usually send you these discs for no charge, it depends on who you get on the telephone.

Well, I used Alt10 and didn't find an option for recovery. I guess I can try F8 again. I'm not wanting to wait for disks because I'm concerned that won't solve the problem. The original problem was the internet not coming up. I think I undid my unfinished system restore by doing a restore. I can't do too many restores though.

im just got my gateway to and was only having the burning problem, just recheck the disc and be prepared to have a 8 disc backup. the freezing never happened because i uninstalled norton right away and then run msconfig to speed up the startup. Also gateway says to hold alt12 during startup for resttore

Normally it goes disk 1, then 2, what is the 3rd disk labeled?
