Re: Computer

I may be wrong, but they're the same in my opinion. Just different names or terms.

Re: Computer

Hi michele,

Portable computers can be grouped into both categories.  A computer is referred to as a "notebook" because it can be carried with you, allowing you to work on the go.  You may carry it to a meeting for reference or to take notes, where previously you would carry an actual notebook.  A "laptop" is small enough to rest on your lap while you use it.  Both terms refer to the fact that the computer is portable.

If you are looking to purchase a portable computer, make sure you examine all of the specifications as these two terms overlap a great deal.  I recommend you visit the CNET.com Computing Resource Center located on BestBuy.com (http://bestbuy-cnet.com.com/4352-13747_7-6588306.html) for advice catered to your computer needs.

Thank you,
