I pulled an HDD out of an old PC that is absolutely broken, and I wanted to plug it into another PC to get the data from it, but the connector for it is so old my motherboard doesn't have a slot for it. I was wondering if I took it, along with a blank hard drive to Best Buy, if they would be able to transfer the data from it to the other one.
Is this a possibility? Any other stores that might be able to do this?

You could purchase a USB external enclosure and use the drive an an external USB Hard Drive and that's the easiest way. Best Buy does not carry these anymore but you may be able to find one online from a third party. Due to the rules of these forums I am not able to mention any competitor to Best Buy.
Geek squad services start at $200 for data recovery and can run you over $1000 depending on the severity.
