Thank you for your response.....
but that doesn't work either.
The downloaded file is a .exe file and the "found new hardware" """wizard""" cannot find it as a driver file.
It just does the same thing.....Cannot validate bluetooth device.
Wanna try something different....like JUST A DRIVER....NOT AN APPLICATION FOR INSTALLATION!

Agreed, this doesn't work. Still unable to get far enough to even be asked whether I want to "Run" or "Save" in the first place! It just gets stuck on "validate bluetooth device."

Same problem here... have looked all over the internet and seems to be no fix. I plug in the usb and it comes up as unknown device. If I try to download the driver it gets all the way to installation and force closes everytime. There are no other previous bluetooth programs and everything is up-to-date. I have tried every possible fix that has been given. Returning tomorrow and posting reviews if I do not get a fix.

Hello mikhigg,
Thank you for responding!
I do apologize that you are having installation issues. It is not so much a case of being cavalier, as the largest percentage of these install fine when Windows pulls a generic driver. If Windows does not, and the Driver that we make available on our download page do not function, there is something with the OS that is not accepting that. Unfortunately because computer Operating Systems are so customizable and adjustable, beyond the basic troubleshooting, trying other adapters or specialized computer support may need to be inquired with.
Regards,
Jon

What I don't understand is that Windows 7 is Windows 7. It is not some obscure OS that is custome made for a few. The bluetooth adapter specifies that it is compatible with, among others, Windows 7. It doesn't give any caveats about drivers or any other "demons" that may prohibit installation.

Returned my adapter to Best Buy today and told them about this thread. Said numerous people couldn't get it to work. Clerk couldn't care less and probably just put the unit I returned back on the shelf.
