I used to buy my computer parts from Compusa because they were local, but they closed. One time i bought a videocard from them and it broke but i bought a warranty along with it. They credit me the amount and i was able to buy a newer card using the full retail amount I payed + the difference in cash.
How does the bestbuy warranty work for a videocard?
If for some reason a videocard is having problems say... triangles on the screen, or games are messed up, or constant restarts... and so on. How would the return be processed?
example: Say I pay $200 for a videocard and $40 more bucks for an extended warranty. I spent total 240 dollars. If the card breaks within the warranty time period and I bring the card back.
Do I recieve 200 dollars store credit which i can apply towards a purchase of the same card and possibly a newer one + extra cash?
I have a best buy locally and wanted to know if i can switch my business to them, because i build gaming computers for clients and want to know my options on warranties available.
Hopefully this makes sense and I get a detailed response,
Thank You,
ZaraZa

Very likely BB will refuse to honor any warranty.
They will attribute any defects to misuse, and you will have no recourse.
Do NOT buy from BB.
