Hi Everyone! Can anyone recommend me best laptop under my budget? My budget is less than 1000$. I need laptop with numeric keypad. Laptop should not heat at all while playing games or rendering movies. Waiting for your reviews and recommendations.

What types of games do you have in mind?

Some games require a more robust graphics system to accomidiate them.

However, if by numeric keypad you mean the 10 digit keypad like on a full size keyboard, your going to be hard pressed to find one.  All laptops will have the standard number keys across the top

The one linked above will be able to play most games, but not at max settings. 

You may want to consider a tower computer if the numeric keypad is important.  You can get a lot more bang for your buck that way as well.

Hello there!

Thanks for the awesome question.  Bobberuchi mentioned a few good starting points above. Something to consider is does this computer need to be portable?  Because, if it doesn't, you can get a lot more bang for the buck out of a desktop.  This also means that you can get the number pad on a keyboard.  However, if you do go this route, it sounds like the $1000 will have to stretch and cover the monitor and maybe other peripherals like a mouse and keyboard.  If you play your cards right, you can find a good deal on a gaming desktop that comes with a solid keyboard and mouse set.  Then, the extra funds can go towards getting a better computer altogether.  Being a desktop, you also have access to more expandability and upgrades!

Other questions to consider are: what programs am I looking to run?  What genre of games am I looking to play?  Do I care about the aesthetics of the unit?  How important are the graphics in the games I'm looking to play?  Is the frame rate of the monitor important to me?  Once you answer these, you can assess your options pretty easily and narrow it down.  I hope this helps out!

It is bit difficult task to find out laptop which not gets heat on excessive use. By the way, you can check market. It also depends on companies. Macbooks are much expensive than local ones.

Budget is quite good for new persons who are going to join gaming or programmer community. In This budget, I would like to recommend you to go for {removed per forum guidelines}. It is TIGER of all budget laptops. My brother is using this from past 1 year and it is working fabulous. It has 1TB SSD and 32GB SDRAM with i7 processor. Battery timing is also wonderful and that is 8+ hours on average usage.
