I bought my Asus Eee PC 1000H in Best Buy just 8 days ago and support DVD (restore dvd) was not included. Anyone has an idea where i can download for Eee PC 1000H computer model? Will Best Buy give this DVD free of charge if I ask?

I am not sure but it seems like the restore image would be on the hard drive since these netbooks do not come with a dvd/cd drive.
My only suggestion is to call Asus and ask them.
Are you able to create restore cd's from the OS.
BB won't give you anything for free.

The eeePC should have come with one, if it didnt , take it back and exchange it for another.

I went back to BB and ask about the Support DVD a.k.a. Restore CD/DVD, guess what?!
They told me that it (ASUS Eee PC) doesn't come with Restore CD/DVD because this unit's do not have dvd drives.
i don't know but i think they were not reading the booklets/users manual that comes with the purchase... It says there: The support DVD that comes with the Eee PC package contains the drivers, software applications, and utilities that you can install to availall the features.

The BB associates are correct in that the Asus Eee PC 1000h does not have an optical drive. The description of the item on BB.com does not list a restore DVD included in the box. Normally any software/restore CD/DVD would be listed under the "What's Included" section if it was available.

I believe it is mentioned in the "What's Included" section the Support DVD we are talking about. 2 of my colleagues bought the same unit just the othe day ago and he got the Support DVD inside the package.
My money was not worth the incomplete purchase.

Regrettably, you would need to contact the manufacturer if you purchased your netbook factory-sealed and it did not include the recovery disc. Best Buy® does not normally have copies of these discs within its retail stores, and we are unable to order them on a customer's behalf. If you purchased your netbook as an open-box product, however, you may wish to speak with an associate at your local store to see if they can locate a copy on-site.
