I am going to purchase a Asus eee pc netbook with Celeron processor, SKU 9050171. What would be the Best Buy part number for a 2GB chip upgrade? And also any anti virus / spyware recommendations for this machine?

get the Kaspersky, they use the least amount of system memory.

u know they don't have cd-drive right? so u'll end up have to buy a external cd drive JUST to install that antivirus program. (which they run at $100, plus the antivirus protection, which is $49, which totals at $149. if u have Geeksquad install it for u, they'll do it for labor of $49.99, plus the cd, which total at $100)

I followed your recommendations, and the Best Buy Geeks agreed with them. I purchased everything last evening. I had the Squad do the installations also.Booted the Asus up, and  browsed the web for awhile. Everything looks good.  Thank u for the advice.
