I purchased a MacBook on 1/7/22. It included 24 months of AppleCare+ under my TTS membership. However, when I went to check my macbook support section recently, it shows that no AppleCare+ has been added. I checked the receipt and the serial # listed there is different than what my macbook is displaying. I spoke with AppleCare and they said they could not transfer it. I also called Best Buy Total Tech Support and they said they could not transfer the AppleCare either. The TTS rep said I would have to return the macbook to the store, and purchase a new one with AppleCare+. Buying a new macbook, transferring the data, then returning the old one is ridiculous. Is there an easy way to apply the AppleCare+ I purchased, without having to go through all of that? Please let me know ASAP, as according to my receipt my return window closes in a few days.

I would bring it back.
Apple is very very strict about changing things and probaby will not allow Best Buy to do so.
Did you get any serial number errors when you registered it online with Apple?
Was the serial number on the box that it came in? And does that serial number match the one on the bottom of your Mac?

I purchased this in Oregon, I live in Washington state. There is no way I'm driving back just to have this resolved. I am sending you a private message.

There are 11 Best Buys in Oregon.
I am just saying if you cannot get it resolved before the return expires and it cannot get resolved, you may be without Apple Care.
You assuming it is Best Buy. But this isn't the first time have seen issues with Apple and Apple Care.
