Hi Tshilts87,
That is a pretty interesting situation to have there, after investing all that into the system to only have it blow not 1 but 2 speakers is no good. Thanks for joining the community and taking the time to post your concerns here.
Was the install done by a best buy? Personally I know that the settings on the amp are not something to mess with based on just turning them up and down, the amp needs to be tuned. Could you possibly tell me which amp you purchased? Along with which kicker sub you purchased?
This information will help me determine a possible answer for you as to why they are getting blown.
Thanks in advance.

Hello tshilts87-
Knowing from working at Best Buy so long as a Geek Squad Autotech, there are many connections leading up to the amplifier and subwoofer which need to be installed correctly as well which can seem daunting if you have installed an amplifier before. Our installers take the hard work out of getting that great aftermarket sound with many installations taking on average 2 hours for this job.
I was able to locate a phone call placed on 8/26 about a similar situation regarding the protection light kicking on shortly after it was sounding really good. The return process didn’t seem to go quite as planned and I’m not entirely sure why the serial numbers are not lining up with what we have recorded on file.
With regards to the phone call, were you able to reach out to the store for any further assistance with this issue?
Respectfully,
