Hi, in the summer of 2019 I had a Viper Remote start system installed in my 2010 Ford Fusion, and purchased the extended range Viper 7816V remote to go along with it. However, the remote seems to have completely stopped functioning and is completely unresponsive, even after changing the battery. I'm assuming the remote is somehow broken, but am not sure if it could be something else.

Hi there, chenline,
Thanks for for stopping by our community forums again. After getting a remote starter installed in my car a few years ago, I know that winter would be the worst time for the remote to go out! I'd be glad to give you some information on how to get help with this.
Since you've already replaced the battery, it does sound like there could be a problem with the remote itself. I would recommend scheduled a free in-store consultation with an AutoTech so they can take a look at your remote and help you look into getting a replacement if needed. They can also double check to make sure the problem isn't the receiver in your car.
I hope I was able to answer your questions! Please let me know if I can help with anything else.
