Re: Viper 7111V troubleshooting

Good to hear about the quick troubleshoot fix.  Can you let me know what the model number of the actual remote start you purchased?  Normally speaking, the remote that you're speaking about would not have this capability, but before I for sure would know, I'll need to know what remote start you originally purchased.

Looking forward to the fast reply!

Re: Viper 7111V troubleshooting

The Viper 7111v is the transmitter model number (aka: remote).  The remote will pair to the remote starter brain, which is what I need to see if BlueTooth capability is possible.  If you're able to find the receipt, the model number of the remote start will be provided on that.  possibly 4105, 4111.  If it's not the DS4, then this option would not exist outside purchasing the Viper Smart Start module.

Re: Viper 7111V troubleshooting

No worries! Glad I was able to help out this far!  Ok, so the 4115V1D is not capable of the bluetooth functionalities that the DS4 has the ability to do, however, getting the application to work consistently is quite tedious at times.  I normally do not try to use this as a selling point because of how it can behave at times, but it definiately has it's place.

The smartphone w/ subscription would be the way that I would go if you're looking to get the most out of a mobile phone application.
