Re: Car Fit Guide

Thanks for asking such a great question on the community forums, I would love to be of further assistance to your inquiry about your 97 ford ranger.

Unfortunately there are a few makes of this vehicle, and so this quote is strictly for a "standard" non-premium sound system with just the front 2 speakers.  I am assuming this is the case since you mentioned only 1 pair needing to be replaced along with the radio. with that said below will be the quote to get you a close to accurate price should you want to continue with this process.

Materials fee  $5.00

Dash Kit  $16.99

Harness  $16.99

In-dash non video labor  $64.99

Speaker Wire Harness Adapter $13.99

Subtotal Estimate Only** $157.95 BEFORE TAX

Install time Estimate Only** 1 hours 30 minutes

Quote above is for a radio and speaker installation minus the actual product.  When you are looking around we have plenty of options for your vehicle, and also plenty of options to add on SXM (siriusXM) to that radio.  You will need to find a radio that is SXM READY, or CAPABLE.  What that means is that that radio will be capable of adding on SXM with the additional part SXV300.  This piece will also have an installation cost of $39.99.  So if you are wanting to add this, please add the price of the SXV300 with installation to get even more exact quote, and this will add an additonal .75 hours of time to the estimate above.

As far as radios go, like i said above, there are plenty of options for you, so narrow down the search for me and i would love to help you pick between 2-3 different ones, with a follow-up post.  Ill point you in the right direction for your kenwood options.  Best of luck at finding the radio and speakers you are wanting and should you need further assistance, please continue in this thread!
