Keyless Entry Toyota Tacoma 2016

Hello!

I was trying to get an estimate on how much the install on a 2016 Toyota Tacoma would be for this...

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/viper-1-way-security-system-with-geek-squad-installation/999925580005000...

My truck has power locks but alas no keyless entry. It's kind of annoying because there's no way to enter from passenger side without opening the driver's side first.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Keyless Entry Toyota Tacoma 2016

Easttexasguy thanks for taking the time to ask such a great question! I also want to thank you for being as specific as you can with all the details that you provided for me.  Having a vehicle without keyless entry is more than frustrating to say the least, so naturally its great that you would want to have Geek Squad install your keyless entry/security 1-way system.  All Best Buys and geek squad installers try to use a universal quoting tool to get us as close as possible to the actual "out of the door" cost for our customers, but with all vehicles, even the same year, make, and model, there are other charges that might arise.

Possible charges that you might see when having any system installed by Geek Squad might be a "standard security add-on $39.99" or "advanced security add-on $59.99."  Some of these charges are going to be "optional by customer" and "necessary for vehicle specific," so the quote i am going to shoot you would be again, just a quote, the installer performing the installation will inform you of additional costs if you wish to add on features at the time of installation.

Standard security add-on charges most commonly allocated for are:

immobilizers, smart starts (at time of installation), trunk release, horn honk, trunk switch

Advanced security add-ons charges most commonly allocated for are:

smart starts (add on to previous installation), rear defrost connection, manual transmission, door lock actuators, and interior sensor installs.

The charges that are showing up for your vehicle that you should add onto your price, along with your state tax are

viper 1 way security system  $159.99

Standard add on $39.99  (Factory alarm disarm)

Standard add on $39.99  (module install) **personally i don't know why this is here, but im going to keep it in case you want to add on anything like a back tailgate switch if you have a camper lid with valuable on the inside!

Total: (before tax) $244.97

I hope this helps you out a little, and if you should need any other follow up assistance feel free to let me know.  a moderator might also swing by to offer some input also, and your patience is greatly appreciated should i not respond back right away! Call your local installation bay, and have your local autotech give you a quote with you on the phone, so that they can ask you any follow up questions that may have charges associated with them. Best of luck!

Re: Keyless Entry Toyota Tacoma 2016

The vehicle is pretty straightforward. You would be looking at $159.99 + $5 materials fee + Tax. If you follow the link below you should be able to schedule an appointment online.

Re: Keyless Entry Toyota Tacoma 2016

Jferroni i pulled it up to and was curious about the charges being added on myself.  I would agree with your quote also, saying that the customer doesn't want anything extra added on.  I wanted the customer to know of the possible charges that he might hear over the phone from someone other than an installer using fit guide.  Either way good input also!

"regahds" makes me think of a guy from SW who uses that same signature...
