Hardwire install of a Dash Cam

Hello,

How much would it cost to have a dash cam hardwire installed on a 2016 Chevy Cruze Hybrid?  This would be only one camera(front facing).

Re: Hardwire install of a Dash Cam

Good morning, roritz009,

Thanks for stopping by the Best Buy forums to ask about getting a front facing dash camera installed in your 2016 Chevy Cruze Hybrid!  I've been wanting to get one of these camera installed in my vehicle for quite some time, not only for liability reasons, but just incase something "cool" happens that I would like to have captured while on some of my adventuring around!

The installation cost for hardwiring a dash camera into a vehicle is $49.99, with a $14.99 cigarette socket adapter.  Rest easy knowing that you're able to have this cig socket hidden behind your dash panels so that you'll never see the wiring, and also have the peace of mind knowing that the vehicle will turn on and off everytime you turn the car on and drive without pushing any buttons.

Some cameras have a "parking mode" (Thinkware is just one of the brands off the top of my head) that would allow your cars front facing camera to turn on while parked if there is suspicious behavior that set off the internal gyroscope or motion sensor with someone a little closer than they should be to your ride.  There is a specific hardwiring cable for these cameras so if this is something that you're looking to have, check out the parking mode hardwired cable!

Let me know if you have any other questions!
