Hi! This my first time buying car stereo from best buy and I found that they provide free installation for car stereo that has price $99 and up. So, I purchased pioneer avh 501 ex which cost $229. My questions is, do I need to buy the other accessories like , wiring harness, double din dash kit, steering wheel controller adapter, Etc.? I called the closest best buy to me and they said that I will not buy anything , they will provide it and I will pay for that in store. I called other store and they said that I need to bring my own accessories. Anyone here did free installation for car stereo? Do you have to bring your own dash kit, wiring harness etc or did they provide that and paid for it? Sorry for the confusion and thank you so much!

Welcome back to the Best Buy forums soothsayer1991-
Thanks for continuing to make Best Buy your shopping destination for your next car stereo! What luck in finding the perfect radio replacement for your old factory stereo, especially during our free installation offer! I’d be more than willing to shine some light on our installations!
Normally speaking, our Autotech’s only wish to get you scheduled one time, and then get you on the road with their Lifetime Labor Warranty! To achieve a single scheduled appointment, we always recommend bringing all the additional pieces with you as well (dash kit, harness, etc.). Although we house many of the additional accessories for many vehicles, we cannot guarantee there will be inventory at your installation date. This is why we hope our customers can bring in all their additional pieces for their vehicle specific needs.
If you have all the parts required, there would likely be no reason to reschedule. With that said, I would encourage you to have all your additional pieces so that we can make your first appointment, the last, until your next car audio purchase! Let me know if you have any other questions!
