Re: Fosgate p1000 amp

Well i wish there was a quick explaination as to why your amplifier went into protect mode.
Protect mode is put on most amplifiers to help the internal components from overheating or causing permanent damage to your amp.

Usually with protect mode it will reset itself when the problem has resolved itself (installation error) or once the amplifier is cooled down. Many things can cause an amplifier to go into protect mode such as but not limited to:
Wrong guage wire
Bad power or ground connections
Bad remote wire source
Rcas pinched, or improperly installed
Settings turned to high on amp or source unit
Improperly matched subwoofer and amplifier
Blown subwoofer/s
Bad amplifier.

Many things contribute to protect mode, so if there is a single hiccup along the way it can cause protect mode to be active. We have all certified technicians readily available to assist in this diagnosis, and hopefully remedy this situation. Our diagnosis fee for troubleshooting is $24.99 per 1/4 hour (every 15 min) or $100 and hour.

With that said i hope u are able to get that fosgate amp going because it was a personal favorite of mine when we carried fosgate. You can call your local installation bay tp schedule an appointment or schedule on bby.com. best of luck and thank you for posting with the community!
