Car Radio Installation - Desoldering?

Hi, my car currently has an aftermarket radio installed with soldered wires from the car to the radio. Recently, the radio stopped working and I noticed some radios from BestBuy come with a free installation. Does that free installation also mean BestBuy will desolder the wires from the old radio to install the new radio?

Re: Car Radio Installation - Desoldering?

Hello, Kevin578,

I appreciate you reaching out to us regarding your interest on a cool upgrade for your vehicle. A lot of our in-dash units come with free installation, which you can see at the top of each unit. Car speaker installations will usually start at $64.99, but keep in mind that this doesn't include hardware and required wiring you may not already have ().

I recommend scheduling a free in-store reservation with one of our Autotechs to get an estimate on getting these items purchased and installed. They'll be able to help you get an estimate for both the labor, and any additional accessories that may be required to get this completed. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Kind regards,
