2019 remote start question

I plan on having a remote start put on my 2019 4runner Limited with the push button start (proximity key)

My only concern is, I have proximity unlock on my factory doors (I can walk up and the door unlock so I can open it with the fob in my pocket)

If i don't use the viper remote start, I would assume it would still work as normal. If not I don't even want the remote start because where I live it's only really cold about 2.5 months. It would be more convenient to me just to walk up and grab the door handle, get in and push the button to start my vehicle

Re: 2019 remote start question

Hello, Jeffb0013,

Thanks for reaching out and I do apologize for the delayed response. With the holiday season in full swing, response times can be a bit delayed. That being said, since you initially reached out, were you able to get this ironed out?

Re: 2019 remote start question

Any functionalities that would be lost on a vehicle would only be when the car is running, however, cars now-a-days are seamlessly being integrated into so that the customer doesn't have to sacrafice their convenience features that come equipped from the factory.  That said, I believe the only feature that would not be available during remote start is a secure takeover, and the vehicle would shut down after a door has been opened, but you'll just start it up as normal but with the car already heated up!

hope this helps!
