I was wondering if I could just get a general estimate on how much it would cost to install a Rockford Fosgate P3D2-12 Punch P3 DVC 2 Ohm 12-Inch 600 Watts RMS 1200 Watts Peak Subwoofer in my truck. This particular sub does not require an amp, but it does has a base control remote that can be run by the driver's seat. Just a general guess to the cost would be fine, I know the base cost for a sub instal starts at $20, and goes up depending on the parts required, but since this does not require an amp or box to be installed, I figure it wouldn't be significantly higher. Would you be able to provide just a general guess as to how much it would cost?

Unless you've mistakenly typed the wrong model information, that subwoofer most definitely requires both an amp and an enclosure to function. So you'd be looking at an amp installation and sub installation, 4-guage amp kit to power it appropriately, as well as the actual amp and enclosure if you haven't already purchased it. A mono amplifier installation is $119.99, sub is $19.99 because it only involves connecting a few wires and screwing the sub into the enclosure.
It also says "truck" in your post but it says 2014 Chevy Camero in the topic. This really doesn't have much bearing on the installation cost, but will most definitely affect your enclosure choices. That sub can be really loud, I personally like tight punchy bass so I prefer a poly-filled sealed enclosure but if you're preference is loud rumbly bass with more reverberation and less tight hits then it also works well in a ported enclosure.

I do genuinely apologize, you were exactly right in your thinkings I did type the wrong model information. I totally meant to ask about the: "Rockford Fosgate P300-12 Punch 300 Watt Powered Loaded 12-Inch Subwoofer Enclosure".

Now if I am not mistaken, I don't believe this particular sub would require an enclosure or an amp, would you mind giving me 1 more estimate regarding this model?

Hi there, roachadam,
Thank you for stopping by our community forums. This looks like an awesome subwoofer, I'm sure you're looking forward to getting this installed.
Since this is self-contained it does look like you would just need to pay for a sub installation. This starts at $19.99. Keep in mind some additional accessories may be required, you can always get a free consultation to get an estimate for this installation.
Please let me know if you have any other questions!
