My NS-NAV01 battery will not hold a charge. I do not know how to open it to replace the battery. Sometime back I searched and found out which battery it requires and was told that replacement is done by the Geek Squad. I took it to them and they didn't know how to open it either. Totally unsuccessful. The only way I can use it at all is to keep it plugged in to the car adaptor which works OK but sometimes loses connection and the unit shuts down almost immediately. Can anyone tell me how to open the case and replace the battery?
Unfortunately the battery for the NS-NAV01 was not designed to be replaceable. If the battery no longer holds a charge and doesn't operate properly while on the charger you may need to think about replacing the unit. Sorry I don't have better news.
A unit which was designed as a throwaway? What a wonderful idea!!! This way YOU THINK you can sell more units. Problem is, I will NEVER buy another product of ANY KIND with the Insignia brand.
