A friend gave us this Insignia GPS unit # NS-NAV02R, and that is all. I need a windshield mounting assembly and a auto power cord. Where can I buy these items?
Also, how does everyone get map updates, since Insignia no longer provides any real support or downloads anymore.
I'm guessing Amazon, Ebay, or Google are going to have to be your friends on the windshield mount. If your NAV02R is like my NAV01, then the power cord is just a mini-USB connector. You should be able to get that at Walmart or Best Buy. The least expensive option will be www.monoprice.com.
Even when Best Buy was selling these GPSs, there was never a map update. There never was "real" support. Your only option that I can see for map updates is to convert your GPS to iGo8. Instructions can be found at gpsunderground.com
