the video/record function on this camera has stopped working. i switch the mode dial from camera to video and it stays in the camera function. i  switch the mode dial to "set" and it stays in the camera function. i can have the mode dial set on "set", and "video" and it just takes pictures. it won't switch to bring up a function menu on the screen. how can i get the video camera to ercord gain?

Have you tried resetting your camera to factory defaults? Before you begin, be sure to back up your photos and videos to your computer as they will be erased. To perform the reset, turn the Mode dial to SET, then navigate to the RESET icon and press the center navigation control button. Touch the check mark to complete the reset.

 

If you cannot navigate through the menu at all, try turning the camera off and removing the battery for several minutes first. Reinstall the battery, then try to perform the reset. If the problem persists after all of these steps, your camera will likely require repairs. Service can be obtained by carrying the unit in to the place of purchase. Remember to bring along your original receipt for validation of the one-year warranty.

I am having the same problem. it seems to be stuck in photo mode. the menu is also stuck for photo mode so no way of resetting g it. . I have used this camcorder ONCE! it's junk and total waste of money!!
