Re: Unable to Display Network Photos

Was there ever any resolution to this problem.  My WD My Book Live can see all the photos but will not display them.  They all show up as broken.

Is this a software defect on the Insignia 8".

Re: Unable to Display Network Photos

Hello Ggallant,

Is the hard drive set to allow "Everyone" in your Homegroup read access? To check this, right click on the hard drive in Computer and select "Properties", then click the "Sharing" tab, and finally "Advanced Sharing".  Once in the advanced sharing window, click "Permissions".  Then click "Everyone" and then ensure there is a check in the check-box for allow read control.

Re: Unable to Display Network Photos

The network device is a Network Attached Storage device, not just a hard drive.  I have double and triple checked that all photos have "public" access to network share that Western Digital created.  I have also verified that the drive supports UpnP.  I believe this is an Infocast problem.  Please advise.

Re: Unable to Display Network Photos

Hello all,

Unfortunately after doing more research into this issue it appears that the Infocast is not able to interact with network attached storage devices. I apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause you.
